The intersection of Republic Road and National Avenue will close to traffic starting at 9:30 p.m. tonight, (Tuesday, Jan. 13) reopening at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 14). If work is not completed tonight, the intersection will again close at 9:30 p.m., tomorrow, (Wednesday, Jan. 14) reopening at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 15. These closures are weather permitting. No traffic will be allowed through the intersection during these closures. The contractor will be working to shift traffic lanes to a new alignment during this time. Some driveways may be temporarily closed. Access to all businesses will be maintained, but an alternate route may need to be taken. This work is a part of the Republic Road Widening project from the entrance to Chase Card Services to Fremont Avenue. The project is funded by the 1/4-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax and the 1/8-Cent Transportation Sales Tax. Thank you all for your patience as this work continues.
