The issue of Dutch travel documents is going to change worldwide and this will affect the service to Dutch citizens in the United States as well. Starting January 1, 2015, the honorary consul in Orlando will no longer issue Dutch passports and visas. This new policy will also take affect at the honorary consulates in Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles on October 1, 2015. From these dates onward, passport and visa applications can be submitted at the Dutch consulates in Miami, San Francisco, Chicago and New York, and at the Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C. The Dutch Government acknowledges that these changes will have practical consequences for Dutch nationals in the United States.
