The kindness keeps growing: Recently I went to Island 16 to see a movie. As I went to get my money out to pay for my ticket, I noticed one of the ReesSpecht Life cards that I had in my wallet. Impulsively I pulled it out with an extra $20 and begin to explain to the cashier what I wanted to do. It took her a minute to grasp the concept and to realize that my intentions were genuine. She repeated back to me that she was going to wait for the next person in line to order two movie tickets, then pay with my $20, and give them the card with the simple message of going to your website and paying it forward with another act of kindness someday. I smiled at her and walked away. I wish I could tell you the rest of the story but I realized in that very moment that in a lot of ways that part did not matter. For the simple act of giving is as rewarding, if not more, than that of actually receiving. I’m pretty certain someone was pleasantly surprised that day and enjoyed their movie a little more than they expected. As a spiritual person, your son’s purpose is apparent to me and his legacy stronger than some who live 40x his years. Continue to pay it forward in his name… -anonymous Rees piece
