The largest image of Andromeda yet taken by humans has been released; it is truly massive. It may appear as if the image has a lot of noise in it but as you zoom in to look closer you see that the noise is over a hundred million stars all crammed together. The true vastness of space is difficult for humans to grasp in any real way but even with my small understanding of the rough concept of just how big it is the idea that all of it was made just for us becomes too staggeringly vain to contemplate; it is crushed by the amount of vanity required to seriously consider that possibility.
