The last 24-hours, it has come to our attention that an anonymous individual (s) have created a personal Facebook and wordpress account to slander the name and brand of ACIPP West Africa. While ACIPP encourages critical review of our programs, we feel it is necessary to issue a statement correcting the absolutely false statements made by this anonymous individual. ACIPP West Africa encompasses two flagship programs: our Internship Programme and ACIPP Consulting, both of which are under our registered nonprofit status in the Netherlands, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. Revenue from ACIPP’s Internship Programme helps us to provide FREE trainings on CV and cover letter training to youth, which do not charge participants and are counted as volunteer staff hours. ACIPP Consulting charges our clients for trainings and services delivered, and allows us to fund administrative costs as well as small community projects (also supported by fundraising efforts) such as our Scholarship Programme for youth (currently supporting 10 Junior High and 2 Senior High Students in Sierra Leone). ACIPP’s Internship Programme offers a small discount ($300) to interns who are willing to post to our intern blog (featured on our website). Interns are given an access password and ACIPP does not regulate content posted to that blog. The discount is intended to help interns who may need financial assistance with their internship, as well as to create excitement and personal testimonials regarding our placements for those who may be considering interning with ACIPP. ACIPP West Africa remains committed to transparency and we are always open to answering questions or alleviating concerns. We completely reject the anonymous attacks against the character of our staff and the integrity of our organization.
