The last couple of days Lucas ,Jim and I have been discussing the procedure they had planned to do(rebreaking his jaw and rewiring) and Luke decided that unless it was absolutely necessary for a complete recovery he did not want to do it right now.He wanted to give his body a chance to heal itself.So we spoke to the surgeon and told him our feelings.He still wanted to do it but also said it could heal properly on its own and abided by Lukes decision .So no rebreak!! They also wound up taking out the arch bars and the exposed plate and said it was showing some signs of healing at the incision and so didnt have to do stitches either.Other plate looked fine.So we r headed home with appt for follow up in two weeks and hopeful for complete healing.They said if it didnt ,then we would see Oral Surgeon 6 months down the road who specializes in reconstruction.So all in all I think he made the right decision !Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers !!!
