The last couple of weeks have been up, down, and sideways. I was originally scheduled to speak at a dolphin and whale summit in Hawaii. Thankfully, certain circumstances happened and I backed out of the summit. My dad had a mini-stroke and I was the only one able to coerce him to go to the hospital and get treated immediately. His doctor wasnt available until the following week, so he was refusing to see anyone else. If Id been away at the summit, I dont believe he would have gone to the hospital and been treated immediately the way he needed to be. While he was in the hospital, they found some other issues that are now being addressed. While dad was hospitalized, his brother started going down hill fast and his funeral is today. Because of the funeral, some other relatives were in town staying with an aunt, and she had a stroke last night. She would have been home alone had the funeral not been happening. Things happen for a reason and everything is connected. We dont always know why at the time, but the puzzle pieces do all begin to make sense when you look for them. Im still sick with a fever and this silly bug has now moved into my chest. I know its the Universes way of forcing me to slow down, taking the much needed rest that, under the circumstances, I would not be taking. In addition to all the family issues swirling at the moment, I have a book launching on Thursday. Send your love, light, and prayers to the family. They could really use your support right now.
