The last few days have been an absolute whirlwind and, as has already been stated, the feedback towards my meals has been nothing short of amazing! Thanks!” Ian Jackson (@ItsIanJackson) “Just had the veg Thai curry takeaway from @theaubergineco, delicious! Big portion too :) A good idea.” And on Facebook: Cowboys & Angels - “Just tooooo good to miss Thai curry take out from May Aubergine Cafe. It was the most fantastic food Evvverr!” Alison Heron - “Beef massaman was delicious~ think this will become our new friday takeaway” Jenny Dunlop - “Everything was really delicious, I will definitely be buying again” My husband even received the following text message, from she who will remain nameless (thank you Yasmin!!): “OMGosh Andrew, it was so good, delicious. May is wasted on you”! A big THANK YOU to all of you! I hope my curries have shown that you don’t need artificial flavours or food additives (excitotoxins such as MSG) in order to make food tasty. Proper curries, made with fresh natural ingredients, taste better and don’t have the negative effects of such additives. Fresh is best! I have discovered that West Kirby has some real spice girls and boys; you guys LOVE your hot curries! Feedback on my green curry was a 50:50 split of “we love the heat”, and “HELP, my mouth is on fire!”. I obviously want to cook meals which will please as many people as possible, but I also firmly believe that it’s just as important to remain authentic. Thai curries are world renowned for marrying bold flavours with subtle tastes. As a result I will always make sure that I prepare a mild curry option as well as a spicy little number and will mark them accordingly on the menu.
