The last few weeks I have been having a hard time with really - TopicsExpress

The last few weeks I have been having a hard time with really feeling like God was guiding my path in finding a new job. I have been having fits of stress when it came to thinking about all of the bills I have and how am I going to make ends meet. I have prayed with people and asked them to keep me in prayer for this, and then last night one of my friends told me that I need to put scripture up around my house. I was also told by another friend to get a verse that is my verse I can hold onto ad repeat during hard times. That verse for me is Psalms 32:8 “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” This verse came at the time when I needed it most. I have read this verse many times, but in this time of not knowing what to do or where to turn, I know I can turn to God who will guide me and watch over me. I know God wants the best for me, and I know that he is not the God of confusion. God has been pruning things out of my life recently to ensure that the things that he does not want me distracted with do not distract me. He has also has placed people in my life which can speak into my life words that I need. I thank God for those people who have the ability to listen to God, and speak into my life. I want to model that in what I do, and be able to stay still and listen to what God has for me and others. The only way to do this is to spend time with God, and in His word. I know that I was actually on the verge of doing self-pruning of people and things as I was being bombarded by self-doubt and sadness from the loss of friendships in my life. I was headed towards self-destruction but I reached out to those who God had put in my life, and I went to my Celebrate Recovery meeting. Being in recovery and going through the hardships I have had to endure these last few years has been tough, but it has also been a blessing that God has seen me through all of them, and will continue to see me through any in the future. God will guide you along the best pathways, as for myself I just have to get out of His way long enough to allow His plan to work. Nevertheless, as I have seen the last week he will remove things from my life that he does not want there at this time. God has a plan for your life and He only want great things for you.
