The last match up of the second round is the mata mata turtle versus the waxy monkey frog. LIKE the photo of the animal you want to win by clicking on the photo and then on LIKE! You have until 6PM tomorrow to cast your vote. Remember, its not who would win in a fight but rather which animal is your favorite or is more interesting! Survival is the name of the game for these animals. The mata mata turtle relies on being invisible to predators. Its shell is shaped to look like a piece of bark or a rock while its head is shaped like a pointed leaf. The bumps and ridges on its neck help to break up its silhouette. A long, tube-shaped nose allows it to take a quick breath without exposing its body to predators. The waxy monkey frog is nocturnal meaning that it sleeps during the day and is active at night. To make it harder to see, its skin is green with white accents to help it blend in with leaves. If spotted, youd think it would be an easy for a predator to sneak up on the frog and eat it. However, it has clear eyelids that covers its eyes while it sleeps. The frog can see through the eyelid and escape if necessary. In the photo, the frog on the left is wide awake and active; the frog on the right is sleeping. Remember to share this with your family and friends!
