The last minute, fierce budget debate, with the finger pointing, has become an annual event. That should not be surprising to many that it is always last minute. Congress now spends so much time in its legislative calendar debating bills that can/will not pass or on political posturing activities that amount to legislative theatrics. There is a deficit crisis that needs urgent intervention. Never too early to start the budget debate and debt reduction talks now!
