The last patient I saw this morning is a lady who has been coming to me for 3 weeks. Long story short she was telling me how much better she is feeling. She explained it in great detail reviewing each symptom she had when she started and noting how much each had improved. She is about to go on vacation and she feels better than she has felt in many years. As she spoke my mind was thinking about how I should respond to this detailed explanation of why she is so thankful to me. I was going to explain to her how her body heals itself and that by adjusting her I released her bodys ability to heal and that her body is the hero. When Im with patients I am always looking for an opportunity to share the Chiropractic Principle so hopefully they better understand the importance of lifetime care. As they feel better part of me is apprehensive because some patients stop care when they feel better if they dont get the big picture. As my mind raced I stood there and felt her appreciation. I felt her love. Finally she said Thank You so much and she stopped and waited for my reply. I looked her right in her eyes and I said Im grateful. I wanted to say so much more because I felt she would listen to me but I couldnt think of any words that were more appropriate. Doctors, listen to the miracles that occur because of the power of the Chiropractic Adjustment in your office. Feel the difference that you are making in peoples lives. Some things are even more powerful than words. Be in the moment. Im grateful.
