The last scene with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson in Remains of the Day, is a classic example of great storytelling in modern cinema. It illustrates very well that you dont always have to use a lot of clever, witty dialogue to drive home the point of the scene. In fact, there is so much more conveyed in that scene through body language, facial expressions, and by what is not being said explicitly. Thats how its done.
