The last time Zambia failed to make it to AFCON (2004) there was a local coach at the helm. Nothing against local coaches, but we do not have a good enough local coach that can challenge for honours at continental and world stage, that can motivate the players and bring the best out of them, that can be his own man and not select players based on past form or fans or other powers etc. In short the chipolopolo are now on auto pilot and we all know that while you can fly in mid air you cant take off or land on auto pilot.
