The last two weeks Beckett received some tough rounds of chemo which resulted in a low grade fever this past weekend. On Monday we came in to see the Dr with the hope of a false alarm and the ability to attend the annual pediatric oncology holiday party, but it didnt go as planned. Instead, Bs fever rose a little more and his labs showed he needed both platelets and red blood transfusions. His immune system was suppressed which meant he had to be admitted to the hospital again. =( Aside from the fever, he has not shown any other signs of a possible infection, but because he has no immune system, they want us to stay in the hospital until at least NYE. He has spent most of his time walking the halls showing off his shoes, playing with the sprinklers during his breaks and watching Home Alone and The Elf. He has been pretty restless at night and will only lay on top of Mommy. As I am writing this, the Dr just came in and told us she has a proposal..... =) She said he needs to get another blood transfusion today, but after that WE CAN GO HOME!!!!! His immune system has not improved, but with no sign of a bacteria infection, she trusts that we can let him recover at home! Merry Christmas to you all!!! #jesuedidntwwanttochangehisbday
