The last week and a half have been agonizing for me but I sat like many others waiting and praying. My College Voice teacher, friend and Mentor suffer and stroke performing in Italy and then God called him home after a brief fight. I can only imagine what the heavenly choir sounds like when that deep, commanding, warm Baritone voice began to sing! Mr. Louis Nabors gave me a Vocal Scholarship, and taught me how to take of my voice so that it would take care of me! I rejoice in the Lord that he got his wings to glory on last week. If you were a music student at NLU he touch your life and you were never the same! His Porsche cars inspired us to want more but his ability to read into your soul and make you proud to be a African American was profound! I will miss you Mr. Nabors!
