The latest development! Finally done! Jovial mood for Kidepo. Land mark concessions agreements have just been signed between UWA and seasoned local hoteliers to boast hotel and accommodation facilities in Kidepo Valley National Park. Bomah Hotel limited a family enterprise owned by Mr & Mrs Hilary Onek with facilities in Gulu and Kitgum and Mzee Kodet Cornelius Rokila of the famed Kodet hotels have signed concessions enabling them to develop Kidepo Valley hotel facilities further. The Board Chairman, Mr. Otto Benjamin , Dr. Andrew Seguya ED- UWA and Deputy Director Legal Mr. Sabila Chemonges represented signed on behalf of UWA. This development will enrich the scarce visitor facilities in Kidepo which will inevitably attract more visitation and development for the region as well as empower the communities around the park. Both of them are local entrepreneurs with Mr. Kodet hailing from Karamoja region where the park is located. It is hoped that by 2015 December, the accommodation structures will be up and running!
