The latest from TDOT Detours and weekend activity schedule I-65 @ Peytonsville Road, MM#61 Thru traffic NB and SB—State Route 840 via I-24 is a suggested detour. Southbound I-65—Take I-24 East in Nashville to State Route SR 840. Go west on SR 840 to I-65. Northbound I-65---Take 840 East to I-24 west to Nashville then to I-65 north. Local Traffic Please consult the Franklin city website at franklintn.org for local detour information. Weekend Activity on I-65 at Peytonsville Rd. Bridge demolition on I-65 will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at which time both directions of I-65 will be closed. Local traffic will be detoured at the Peytonville Rd. interchange up and down the exit/entrance ramps, BUT EXPECT SIGNIFICANT DELAYS. I-65 northbound and southbound are expected to reopen sometime Monday, Aug. 19. SR 248 (Peytonsville Rd.) will remain closed at the interchange until a new bridge is rebuilt.
