The latest from the Town Crier: 6:45 A.M. UPDATE: Highway 243 is OPEN in both directions. After flying and mapping the Mountain Fire overnight, the most recent estimate of its size is 14,200 acres. Containment remains at ten percent. The growth potential is still extreme. The total number of personnel working on this Fire has exceeded 2,200. That is composed of nearly 100 fire engines, 15 helicopters, and 10 aircraft including the DC-10s.
