The latest news from my insane office... Catholic Charities... Upon exiting the building to go home, I notice our lobby is flooded with employees and homeless folks... The organizations has set up lovely tables adorned with red cloths and white chairs and poinsettias... Today, they are feeding the homeless sit down Christmas Dinners! How nice I think to myself... I belt my red Burberry coat, slip on my signature hat and make my way to the door..Stepping onto the pavement I notice its raining... darn, I left my umbrella on my desk i think to myself...i turn and re-enter building... I see a sea of co workers faces wearing glued on smiles ... I politely navigate my way thru office badge around neck...excuse me, excuse me I say to the robots greeting the black homeless folks gathering... Suddenly, a gentleman who has literally ignored me on the elevator everyday since I started working their in SEPTEMBER... stops me and says: Dinner for the homeless served to your left... Please have a seat and someone will get right to you... EXCUSE ME? ....to be continued
