The legend of Christmas tells us that three kings traveled the desert following a star in the sky--a star so bright they felt compelled to reach it, knowing that within that source of lovely light, a miracle of hope could be found. In many ways, we also follow a bright star in the sky, looking for our own miracle of hope--to see those who have gone before us, and to find our peace and joy in reunion with those precious souls. We dont know why or even how the light is able to speak to clearly to us--but we feel with every fiber of our being that it is important to our very existence to find the source--that happiness, peace and joy can be found there. So many of us, at different times in our grief, have asked for a miracle. Maybe it was to turn back the hands of time, or to gain a few more minutes with a precious loved one. Weve asked for a miracle of love. What we dont know is that we are due for a miracle far greater than anything we could ever imagine. One day we will wake, and our miracle will meet us in the faces of those we love so much and have waited so long to see again. Sleep well tonight, and know your miracle is on its way.
