The level of politricking being witnessed makes me really wonder if there is any change happening in Nigeria. When I consider the height of slander and the depths of deception that is flying in the media,I just wonder if there is really any saint among our politicians. From photo tricks to pure mendacity and death wishes,I wonder if we have the right crop of leaders(both incumbent and aspiring). The change I see is in defections of individuals( who have not been psychologically cleansed) from one party to the other.Of what use is a defector whose ideology has not changed but is just joining a new network of old fellas re uniting for the same purpose in a different house? And that is change?? What about those promising gold after years of lack of focus and internal wranglings? For me,anybody shouting change or continuity is just responding to the stimulus of a loud noise. The Nigerian common man lost these elections at the primaries of both political parties and what we have now is just the same old wine still in the same old bottle and some of the old wine in a new bottle which the defecting dregs have already corrupted with their foul presence. Any way or the other,the masses have been hoodwinked and raped again. Mallam Shekau has identified all this and declared everybody else an enemy....what an affront! But can you blame the smart guy?? At all! He simply realizes that he wont have a new enemy to fight no matter the results of the February polls.
