The lies are made evident and few care. We have an establishment that is hostile toward Christ. We have a government that is collecting information and correspondence on its citizenry. We have politicians using the institutions of government power and authority to punish and stymie its political opposition. We have politicians who feel that they are entitled to lie in order to accomplish their political ends, and when they are caught, they multiply their lies. We have a culture that dictates what speech is acceptable, and what is not acceptable, and we accept its judgement without question. We have become content with national and moral decay, and the politically inspired decline of our neighbor so long as our lifestyle is not interrupted. Because we like our pleasant lies so long as they make us feel comfortable.
