The life of faith is essential to pleasing God. It is one that is proven by action because we know without action our faith is dead. The life of faith is not comfortable. In fact, believers who live by faith understand their chief objective is to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. We are able to experience comfort and remain at peace through prayer. It is not just a time of vain repetitions but a time of weeping, confessing, repenting, and hearing. We cannot afford to be a people who are fat in activity but poor in prayer. Our time of prayer should prompt our activity, and we should be focused on doing all God has asked of us. There are not many lanes of activity; there is only one and it is narrow. We cannot ignore this truth.
