The little question is whats on your mind. This little box Im holding isnt large enough to hold what or goes through my mind. So just for today Im choosing health. Topic weight. Those of you who know me other than my school patch know that weigh is a problem. Wearing dark clothes to hide the weight problem has become normal in my life. I actually like light colors except pink (sorry Mr. Irby ). I refuse to wear my uniform while teaching class because I do it an injustice therefore (just my opinion) disrespecting it, and the Martial Arts which we all work so hard to love, accomplish and respect. I know Im not the only one in the MMASC FAMILY who believes he or she has a problem with weight and lets face it, stands in the way of competing in one way or the other. If your offended by what Im saying TO BAD. If I were a skinny person talking smack about over wt people then yes get offended. However Im a fat person who unfortunately has earned the right to care and talk about the issue that effects so many of our lives. So why am I bringing up such a sensitive issue to a lot of good people? Accountability. I do a lousy job at trying to loose myself or even competing against another (loser buys lunch). 1/2 way through I buy lunch. So now Im thinking of taking it to a much larger level. Let me know your thoughts. MMASC Member Weight Loss Program. Weigh ins would be held at each tournament Your reward for loosing, HEALTH. I cant help but think we would all be encouraged by our MMASC family and personal families. We all pride ourselves in hard work and endless efforts to be the best we can be. As I speak Im wondering if I will have determination enough to live up to my own challenge. Yes I believe I will. Besides theres no way Im going to show up with a gain in front of all those people. When you test for rank and do well you expect that stripe or next belt. No one wants to work hard without some sort of reward for their efforts. Again HEALTH should be incentive enough but lets face it, a little something on the top would be nice. A plaque at the banquet and (approved by all promoters) your next year tournament fees paid for all who set a goal and make it. Just my thoughts
