The long range weather forecast is beginning to show that great weather is likely for February 1. It should be a great day to celebrate Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) outside at Largo Central Park. Among the planned outdoor activities is the Chinese shuttlecock, or jianzi, which has brought joy and exercise for centuries. With brightly-colored feathers, the shuttlecock stays airborne longer than the hackey sack footbags that were popular in the 1970s, so more tricks are possible.
