The loss to Snyder was very disappointing, I have felt this way - TopicsExpress

The loss to Snyder was very disappointing, I have felt this way before only it was on a larger scale, it was the day George W, was re-elected for a second term. To all who pounded the pavement and made those house calls and worked endlessly to help Mark Schauer. And to all those who did take the time to cast your ballot for him I thank you. To the many many people who did not vote in Michigan, you let a whole lot of us down. I only hope that you will learn by your horrible mistake. You will see very soon that your interest will not be represented. This is from Democratic Candidate for Governor Mary Burke who lost to Governor Scott Walker in Wisconsin. Scott Walker and Rick Snyder are from the same molds and backed by the same type of wealthy people. Mary Burke was an inspiring candidate and I think we here in Michigan should take her advice. Tonight, Wisconsin re-elected Gov. Walker, Burke said. And for many of us it feels a bit like getting knocked down. But if I learned anything over the last 13 months, it is this: This state we all love so much is full of people and communities that can take a hit, but that never waver in getting right back up. Burke told the crowd of progressives its OK to be disappointed, but its not OK to not get back up. We must be prepared to come back stronger next time because these elections go in cycles. This will pass and we will prevail.
