The lucky man I am! Moved from a UNESCO creative music city to a UNESCO world heritage site. I truly enjoy the calm life in between the Rockies but I miss the history and culture of my city. While OdeGand is the opening event of Gent FESTIVAL van Vlaanderen, with many events on and beside the waters of Ghent. OdeGand by Night is the closure event of that same festival, mainly celebrating classical music and jazz. But OdeGand by night offers for the second year in a row a mix of classical and electronic music. It opens doors to two styles of music either for the younger crowd to classic music and for the older folks to acceptable electronic music. And all this takes place in the medieval historic city centre of Ghent. The famous Derrick May and the Flanders Symphonic Orchestra are playing a set together in the Saint Anna church, an often forgotten but gorgeous architectural pearl. Enjoy last years after movie!
