The main newspaper of Tajikistan "Jumhuriyat" (Republic) The first issue under the title "Tajik Holiday" was published in 1000 copies. March 15, 1925 in Dushanbe. The newspaper was established as an organ of the Organizing Bureau of the Tajik Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Uzbekistan, the Central Revolutionary Committee and Workers Union of Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The second edition of the newspaper was printed under the title of "Tajiki Awareness", (2500 copies.) From 1928 to January 1, 1955 the newspaper was issued ... called "Red Tajikistan", and from 1 January 1955 to September 1991 under the name "Soviet Tajikistan." Since September 1991 the newspaper was printed under the title "Republic." For many years the outstanding personalities such as Abulkasim Lakhuti, Aminjon Shukuhi, Samad Ghani, Ashur Halimov, Goib Qalandarov, Mr. Ibod Faizullo, Noor Tabarov, Mazhabsho Muhabbatshoev, Shohmuzafar Yodgori, Shoddy Saidov Subhon Cauchon, etc. worked as the editors-in-chief of the newspaper.
