The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Tolove and be loved is to feel the sunfrom both sides. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Love understands all languages. Perfectlove cannot be without equality. All work is empty save when thereis love. To love and win is the bestthing. To love and lose, the next best. If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing
