The meeting with Dr. Rabinowitz went great yesterday! We went over the scan results and Ive gotta say, its fun watching a doctor get excited ☺️ he was extremely happy with the scan results because we can confirm that there is shrinkage in the tumor. We also see that the tumor is possibly less dense in the middle than it was before. He said you see these results with other cancers, lung etc but its not something you see often with this. So our prayers ARE working. Our God is good all the time! If the tumor folds up into itself and begins to die in the center, there could be a possibility of getting the whipple surgery that we need! The other good news is that all the previous scans showed a few tiny spots in his lungs (3 of them) that they couldnt confirm were cancer or not but that of those spots, there is only 1 left! I have more: the clinical trial drug is called metformin- and its a widely used drug for diabetics... Its showing great promise in all treatments of cancer. We are still trying to get qualified for the trial and Johns Hopkins, but doc said in the event we were denied, (dont know why we would be) he could prescribe this drug and cheaply as well. So either way, we would end up with the drug we need, the drug that we KNOW showed to work when Johns Hopkins tested against Jeffs tumor. Jeff is tolerating this new chemo much better than the old, however any chemo is hard so we continue to ask for healing prayers for him. He is my rock, my inspiration and my hero. Thank you all again for caring and for walking this hard journey with us. We are forever grateful 💜 as Jeff would say , FIGHT!!
