The members of the Imo State House of Assembly have given the governor of Imo State, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, 14 days, to appoint revert to the old system of Local Government Development Centres and appoint 44 coordinators to man the affairs. The 26 members have also given accelerated second hearing of the 2014 Budget proposal. All these took place on Thursday after the house failed to seat for two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) due to perceived crises which led to deployment of many police within the premises. After two lawmakers, Hon. Stan Dara (Orsu) and Hon. Ikechukwu Amuka (Ideato South) presented the motion for the coordinators to be appointed to coordinate the activities of the Local government Development Centres, others gave their nod to it. Majourity leader of the house, Hon. Adaku Ihuoma, presented the figures of the budget N137,026,528,434. It was immediately committed for the third reading.
