The message of Christ is foolishness! Where can I begin with this one? Lets see. If you would tell me 4 years ago that a year later I would dedicate my life to a story of a man dying on a cross to forgive my sins, walking away from all the bad things of this world, I would laugh in your face. If you would tell me after I became a Christian that I would offend the love of my life (Jesus) over and over again, but He would forgive me over and over again, I would rebuke you. If would tell me years ago, though Im not the best writer in the world (Heck, I failed English in high school), that I would be encouraging people through poetry, comedy, songs, and my long Facebook post, I would think youre ridiculous. If you would tell me a couple years ago, being the shy person that I was, that I would be on tv and on big stages, and it would be all for the glory of God, I would have died in tears of laughter. In the same way, some people think that Im a crazy man when I tell them that God wants to use them. God wants to use me? God cant use me, just look at me! Or, Please, you want me to believe that everything will be okay? In this economy? Or, Youre telling me that God will heal me? Ive had this sickness for years. The most common one is, So you want me to believe a made up story of a man who died on a cross, that if I dont believe in him Im going to hell? Ya right! Listen, I dont have all the answers. Im not the most intelligent person in the world, but what I do know is this: God uses the foolish things of this world. Why? He wants the Glory for Himself. He wants you to trust in Him when theres no way out so He can blow your mind, so that He can get all the praise. He wants to heal you of any disease, especially the one we know as sin. He wants to open doors for you. He wants help you overcome every obstacle in life. He wants to use you for His glory. But first you need to put every logic, behind you. Put every fear and doubt away, and just trust that He has your best interest at hand. Just surrender all to him, so that He can do something in and for you that you have never seen before! Ummmmm, can I get an amen? :3 1 Corinthians 1:26-32 26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
