The middlemount panthers are set for a big 2015 season in the central highlands rugby league competition with the club recruiting very well in the captain coaching roles micheal morris and Leigh coghill will share the two roles as co captain and co coach Former Roma rugby league product coghill a former lower grade roosters player and played over 100 queensland cup games and represented queensland country and city (Brisbane ponsiettas) and represented Queensland residents on 2 occasions Morris hailing from the bundaberg region a lower grade player for the saint George dragons in Sydney and Brisbane norths in the Queensland cup said that they have been both residents of middlemount for over 3 years working at grasstree mine and both still have youth on there side and after after a few years away from the playing feild they both decided to take on the roles as they both feel they have plenty to offer the club and return the club back to the success they have enjoyed over the years under the guidance of life long club stalwart Damien Cavanagh who has steered the club to many successful years at the club.
