The militarization of police deeply troubles me. Im concerned when we have tanks rolling through the streets and law enforcement that look like front-line battlefield soldiers that the mentality will begin to change from protect and serve to treating citizens as enemy combatants. Programs funded by the Department of Defense, like the Irregular Warfare Support Program, outfit and train local law enforcement agencies on how to conduct counter-guerrilla warfare on us. They equip local law enforcement with drones, MRAPs, grenade launchers, and helicopters. With this militarization, police officers have forgotten their oath to protect the life, liberty, property and the inalienable rights of the people of the communities they serve. In addition, local community governments are increasing their tyrannical surveillance by tying into a national database controlled by the Department of Homeland Security. They are taking facial image captures as part of the REAL ID system, and they have installed facial recognition cameras at major intersections as part of the intelligent transportation system. They are using this technology to track every American everywhere they go and will store your known traffic pattern locations indefinitely. The Federal Government is encroaching on our local communities in the name of terrorism and is forcing us to give up our privacy and freedom in the process. This is called totalitarianism and we need to stop it in its tracks. - Adrian Wyllie for Governor WyllieForGovernor -- FloridaCopWatch.org | Mobile: FLCW.org Affordable On-call Legal Protection: LegalShield.bz #FloridaCopWatch #EndPoliceBrutality Shirts: t.flcw.us/ Donate Bitcoin: 1QFo24pAYDXea4vrAsoKrtxaamZYu2kccW
