The ministers resignation along with PM should pave the way to oversee the next parliamentary election supposed to be held by January. The Ministers are giving opinion on their recently submitting resignation whatever comes in their mind, showing thumb to the the constitution of Bangladesh. According to constitution they are no more a Minister. The following are the statements of the Ministers of Bangladesh quoted from the daily Star:Published: Wednesday, November 13, 2013 Daily Star Ministers make fun of resignation. The law minister termed the submission of resignation letters a formality, and said the ministers expressed in the letters their intent to resign. Speaking to reporters at his secretariat office, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said, “The prime minister will keep the resignation letters of some ministers for their inclusion in her future cabinet. The remaining letters will be sent to the president,” Minister without portfolio Suranjit Sengupta and Food Minister Abdur Razzaque also echoed Inu’s views. Inu, however, contradicted Shafique on whether the ministers followed the constitutional provisions in tendering resignation. Inu said the constitution was followed to the letter in submitting the resignation letters, while Shafique said none of the ministers turned in resignation letters following the constitution. Referring to section 58 (1) (a) of the constitution, Shafique said, “If a minister hands over resignation letter to the prime minister for forwarding to the president, only then it will be considered as resignation. But none of the ministers did so.” The ministers still hold their posts and there is no bar for them to enjoying all facilities or discharging duties, he said.
