The miss representation of scientific reports to the masses by the media is one of the greatest threats to humanity today. It not only doesnt help to keep people informed but actually inhibits them from understanding how scientific research is done. A lack of understanding puts us all at risk for losing out on benefits which are greatly needed and making decisions as a society which are less then accurate with the information at the time. We are human, information is our only real tool and teaching accurately or only real evolutionary advantage.
