The moderate Muslim being asked about Sharia law and appearing to not actually be too researched on the subject but falling into the default support for it. Imagine walking on the Streets of National socialist Germany and asking the average German what they thought about the Nazis. Or doing the same in the eastern block countries at the hight of Communist power. Would they have said publicly what they actually thought of those ideologies? But this ideology is even more dangerous and suppressive as unlike with National socialism or Communism which was political and warlike, Islam is political, warlike and driven as a religion. The other two ideologies discouraged religion because of the driving force behind it which would be a threat to their power base.
