The moment I parked my car at my local 7-Eleven morning stop, I - TopicsExpress

The moment I parked my car at my local 7-Eleven morning stop, I saw the homeless man waiting in front of the door. Already in my mind I was cursing at the fact that Id have to turn this guy away. Sure enough, he asked for some spare change to which I replied, I do not carry cash. I found my things inside and with a warm cup of coffee in one hand and a bag in the other, I exited the store. I passed by the individual and arrived at my car. I proceeded to reach into the bag and pulled out a muffin, the size of my fist, walked over to the homeless man, and put it in his hands. I told you I dont carry cash, but it doesnt mean I dont care, I stated. He broke down in a puddle of gratitude, sobbing, and tears. I turned and left. I do what I can, when I can, how I can. That has little or nothing to do with the season, time of year, nor what I can get out of it. And I share this only because, being hungry and alone when you see everyone else around you having a magical time must be awful. Do not, I urge you do not give money. Instead provide a sandwich, a beverage, a little something that can help. As for me, my good deeds are done. I welcome the following year.
