The monthly 2nd class railway pass fare from Thane to CST is Rs. 190. That is just Rs. 3/- per day one way for more than 30 kms. Same distance travelled by BEST Bus will set you back by Rs. 50/- which is 17 times more. Same distance by black yellow taxi is Rs. 500/-, I.e. 100 plus times more. Railways is just asking you to pay Rs. 6/- instead of Rs. 3/-. Usme bhi itna drama !!! The real villain here is the Congress government who did not raise fares for 10 long years. Had they raised 10% every year, the fares today have been Rs. 10/- instead of the Rs. 6/- proposed now. But they played politics of appeasement to the detriment of the general public. Spread this msg in public interest. Autowala 1.2 km ka 15 Rs. Leta hai to chalta hai par railway ko 25 Paisa per km nahin de sakte?
