The more I hear the discussion about young black males, I’m - TopicsExpress

The more I hear the discussion about young black males, I’m reminded of that “type” of kid everyone seems to want to connect with. He went to Buechel, he was kicked out all the schools he went to, constantly at the youth detention center, homeless, and high school drop out, always had a weapon, and didnt hesitate to fight. Even with all that I never seen myself as one of those kids! In my book Me vs Me, Vol: 1 The Struggle Within I write: “However, the school was different than I thought. Yea, the rough kids from the block went to the school, but I started to realize that while I had my guard up from the rough kids from the block at the school, I “was” one of the rough kids from the block at the school. I didnt understand how I got this label.”
