The more I think of it I do not understand the reasoning of Face book removing all these profiles. If it is truly about advertising demographics boy are they dropping the ball and saying goodbye to a lot of advertising opportunity. If I was an advertiser I would like to have as many people as possible see my advertisements. The PEOPLE who manage these pages spend A LOT of TIME on face book so that would give these advertisers more opportunity to have their ads seen BY PEOPLE! During this sweep they are now removing people who did not have a pet profile but were actual people. The only trigger would be because they have a pet in their profile picture. Where is it in the TOS that you can not have a picture of your pet in your profile picture? Face book is now discriminating against people with social disorders with this campaign. There are people who find it easier to communicate and interact with other PEOPLE through their pet. It gives them confidence to meet new people and takes the stress out of communication as themselves due to being shy or another social disorder. The stress of having their profile removed could cause great harm to these people. Advertisers do you want your ads seen by potential customers to spend 1 hour a day on face book or would you prefer to have the ability to show them to people who spend 7-8 hours a day? This cleansing by Face book is doing just that. Personally at this point I am so disgusted by Face books actions I will not purchase any product or support any company that advertises on here until Face Book stop removing my friends! I will not change my profile picture so I may be removed by face book.
