The most common question I get is Do you ever struggle with working out and eating right?! The answer is YES YES YES! I struggle mightily! My nature is to take on every project and help every person that asks me and soon I find that the person that has been neglected the most is...........ME! Ive been struggling with putting my health and fitness first over the last 60 days and after talking to my team I made a declaration that I had to stop or I would become a worse version of myself. I am a very hot & cold person. That is just how I’m wired. I can’t be anyone but myself! Love me or hate me, that is just the reality. With any restart I feel it’s important that we go back to basics and get closer to what grounds us. With me it is my relationship with God (I snicker here because of my lack of involvement, how could there possibly still be a relationship?) but that is the Grace that has been promised to us all! It might be something different for you, but whatever it is, keep it close, center it! This was today’s lesson for me, I hope it helps you: 1. What if I didnt have to search and know what I want right now? Searching causes us to look for something “Out There” in order to fill a perceived sense of lack, when what may serve us more right now is to simply be in the calm and be still! 2. What if I didnt have to force change to happen? We can’t force something to come, but we can set out intention for it. 3. What if I focus on how I can help others? Even if you don’t know exactly what you want next, you can start by helping other people, in a way that feels meaningful to you, and see what that leads you. 4. What if I could let go? What if you could “Let go of the NEED to know” or the discover it right now mentality…. This is not about resolving yourself or giving up on your dream. When we drop the grasping and the need to have, we give ourselves room to breathe. Give yourself permission to breathe! Everything will still be right where you left it! 5. What if I could feel safe in the unknown? During time of uncertainty, remind yourself to let go of the big stuff and focus instead on what is right in front of you now, at this moment.
