The most heartbreaking thing about moving to London is that I have - TopicsExpress

The most heartbreaking thing about moving to London is that I have to find homes for my boys. I posted a profile earlier about my very healthy 8 yr old black cat Pookah. This one is the most difficult animal friend profile for me to write. This is my 14 year old cat Beast (Mr. Attitude). He is my favorite animal in the world. My fuzz face soul mate. My studio assistant. Unfortunately he has stage 2 kidney disease but with mild care (canned cat food, occasional vet visits to monitor UTIs) he can live a good life for quite a few more years before the disease creates irreversible problems and loss of quality of life. Hes a very laid back, very smart, large, lion of cat. An undisputed, chilled out alpha that gets along very well with other cats (unfortunately not dogs). Hes amazing and I wish that I could take him with me but apartments that allow pets in London are hard to come by. He is micro chipped with an international chip though just in case so it is possible that this could be a temporary foster situation. I love this cat to death and he is only bonded to me but I dont think that means that he couldnt bond with another person. Beast is not a lap cat, hes a sit next to you cat. Hes not big on cuddling but he does want to be near and get the occasional head scratch. When he does want to cuddle it always when your laying down and he asks before climbing on your chest to knead, purr, and occasionally drool before plopping onto your side to sleep for hours if you let him. I formula raised this cat from the time that his eyes had opened. He was found squaking in an alley near my apt in Logan Square. He is updated on vaccines. He only needs to be fed canned food mixed with water for now as treatment for his kidney disease. He is on antibiotics right now for a UTI but that will be finished in a cpl weeks. He will come with lots of can food, catnip and can also come with the ottoman that he sits on so that he can be next to me when I am at my desk or in the studio. I will cry a lot when I hand him over but it is very important to me that I find a good home for him. Hes always been a very good cat. Indoor/ outdoor though he doesnt wander far at his age.
