The municipality is once again hit by vandalism and theft of water supply infrastructure in the Brits and environs supply area. This unfortunate incident happened this afternoon Tuesday 30 September 2014. The areas affected are: Letlhabile, Brits and Industires, Elandsrand , Oukasie, Mothutlung , Mmakau, Oskraal , Madidi, Damonsville , Maboloka, Majakaneng, Segwaelane, Bapong. The water production from the plant will be badly affected as the main command reservoir will be drained empty to effect repairs. Affected areas will have low pressure or no water at all and contingent measures will be employed to temporary supply water. Communities and users are urged to use water sparingly while repairs are effected and capacity build in the plant. It should also be noted that the sewerage handling and transfer systems will be affected. The Municipality apologizes for the inconvenience caused and appeal to communities to assist in curbing the scourge of vandalism and theft.
