The music of Emran Hashmis Raja Natwarlal has been released. Music for the movie is compased by Ilaiyaraaja’s son and a famous music composer of the Tamil Film Industry, Yuvan Shankar, his Bollywood debut album. There are six tracks on the album. Theres the sufi inspired Kabhi Ruhani Kabhi Rumani and Flip Your Collar Back both sung by Benny Dayal. The former has a perfect blend of romantic vibe topped with Benny’s voice. The latter has a western touch with very different beat set up, it’s unusual and refreshing and doesn’t disturb you with its loudness. Benny shows his versatility well with these two tracks. Namak Paare sung by Mamta Sharma and Anupam Amod is a peppy number. Mamta Sharma hasn’t been type casted this time. I am sure it’s video wouldn’t let the audience get bored. Arijit Singh’s Tere Hoke Rahengay is different from his usual songs. It builds up slowly but doesnt peak. Overall the composition is nice but for me the song failed to build interest for a repeat, on the other hand I liked Shweta Pandit’s version more. Yes, this song has two versions. Arijit’s the reprise one. The female version is more pleasant to hear. The song that’s going to be a super hit is Dukki Tikki sung by Mika Singh. It has all the elements to make you get up from your seats and dance. The compositions are fresh and the music arrangement is commendable. It is definitely worth a listen!
