The name Elvin came up recently. (It wasnt a conversation about National Merit Scholars which he was.) One thing led to another and I found this track that I used to listen to a lot. The solo he plays at the end was one of those things that GRABBED me when I was listening and didnt know whats what. Its still great. He had/has incredible feel for the guitar neck and his blues tremolo was fabulous, as good as anyone. Hes kinda gotten lost as the 2nd guitarist in the original Butterfield band or for wearing those dopey overalls. BUT, he could play his ass off. BTW his guy was Earl Hooker. Thats who he loved to listen to.
