The name of Hangeul (Korean Alphabet 한글) Vowels ㄱ(기역 kiyuk), ㄴ(니은 nieun), ㄷ(디귿 tigeut), ㄹ(리을 rieul), ㅁ(미음 mieum), ㅂ(비읍 pieup), ㅅ(시옷 shiot), ㅇ(이응 ieung), ㅈ(지읒 jieut), ㅊ(치읓 chieut), ㅋ(키읔 kieuk), ㅌ(티읕 tieut), ㅍ(피읖 pieup), ㅎ(히읗 hieut) Hangeul is artificialy made alphabet. At the bigining timing, there are no name for the consonents(ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅇ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, ㅎ) But how can 15C Korean say that consonents without their own name? They just insert the vowel ㅏ[a] for call them like this. [가 ga ka], [나 na], [다 da], [라 la ra], [마 ma], [바 ba va], [사 sa], [아 silent a], [자 ja za], [차 cha], [카 ka], [타 ta], [파 pa], [하 ha]. This type reading is still useful to memorys for consonents. But why we need learn the difficult names of consonents? (what is benefical point for learn about consonents name?) Thats a pronounciation. If you learn by heart every consinent name, you already take the method about exact pronounciation for Korean letter. That was the original purpose for make every cosinents name using Chiness letter after about 100years from proclamation of Korean letters. (Thats also using for good reference of trace on middle age China letters pronoun in now) Look the name of ㄱ 기역 [kiyuk]. Could you found 2 ㄱ? One is on the posion of initial and other is on the final position. ㄴ 니은 [nieun] also have 2 ㄴ one is on the posion of initial abd other is on the final position. And every name have 2 vowels and 1 ㅇ(this is silent) for make two letters. Yes 기역 and 시옷 have different vowels. Because the author on 16C cant found good chinese letter for 윽 and 읏.
