The nature of the mens race has changed considerably. There are now five men at the front of the race. Peter Robertson ha been caught. We have Tim van Berkel in the lead from Matt Burton, Jarmo Hast, Robertson, Cameron Brown and Courtney Ogden. They now face the tough haul back to Cairns into a stern wind. The rain continues to fall - quite lightly here in Cairns but it has been a factor out on the bike course, especially for punctures. By the way we can confirm that Caroline Steffen did puncture according to the winner Candice Hammond - one of a number today.
