The new Consumer Rights Directive is being implemented as of 15th - TopicsExpress

The new Consumer Rights Directive is being implemented as of 15th June. As of next Sunday, it increases the consumers rights where contracts are concluded away from a retailers shop or premises, such as online or from a catalogue. Currently, the consumer is entitled to a 7 working day cooling off period where in which they can return a purchase for whatever reason they may have. This is now being extended to 14 days, with the cooling off period beginning the day they receive their purchase, not the day of order. Our DSA Member Companies already offer this, but it is good to know that this will now be the case for everyone as of the 15th.
